Dr. Mouffak Benchohra

Dr. Mouffak Benchohra (born 1964, Algeria) is a Full Professor at the department of mathematics of Djillali Liabes university of Sidi Bel Abbes since October 1994. Benchohra received his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Djillali Liabes university, Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria 1999. His research fields include fractional differential equations, evolution equations and inclusions, control theory and applications, etc. Benchohra has published more than 500 papers, 10x monographs. He is a Highly Cited Researcher in Mathematics from Thompson Reuters (2014) and Clarivate Analytics (2017 and 2018), and word’s top 2% researcher from Stanford university (2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023). Benchohra has also occupied the position of head of department of mathematics at Djillali Liabes University, Sidi Bel Abbes. He is in the Editorial Board of 12 international journals.


Maamar BENBACHIR was born in Miliana (Algeria) in 1967. He graduated from University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) Algiers, and received a “Magister” and a Phd in mathematics from USTHB in 1996, and 2010 respectively. He worked at Bechar University (from 1997 to 2012), at Khemis Miliana University from 2012 to 2019, at Blida University from 2019 to 2021, and he is currently at national Higher school of Mathematics. Professor from 2015. He was the President of the National Council of Mathematics and Computer Science Pedagogical domain from 2017-2020. His main domains of interested are Fractional differential equation and Fixed-point theory.

Dr. Samir Ladaci

Samir Ladaci received the State Engineer degree in Automatics from the Polytechnic School of Algiers in 1995 and the Magister degree in Industrial Automation from Annaba University, Algeria in 1999. He received his Ph.D. and HDR degree (Habilitation à diriger les Recherches) from the department of Electronics, Mentouri University of Constantine, Algeria in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
From 2001 to 2013, he was an assistant professor and then associate professor (Maitre de conférence ‘A’) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Skikda University, Algeria. And from December 2013 to October 2021 ha was with the National Polytechnic School of Constantine, Algeria as a Full Professor in Automatics and Control Engineering since January 2015. Beginning from 1rst November 2021 he joins the Ecole Nationale Polytechnique at Algiers, Algeria where he is the Head of the research group ‘.Automation, Optimized Systems and Fractional Order Control’ at the Laboratory of Advanced Multidisciplinary Industrial & Systems Engineering.
He authored more than 200 papers in indexed journals and international conference proceedings and coauthored a Book and many book chapters; he also supervised more than 11 (ended) PhD theses.
His current research interests include Fractional order Systems and Control, Fractional Adaptive Control, Robust Control, Fractional order chaotic systems, Identification…

Dr. Thabet Abdeljawad

Professor Thabet Abdeljawad, is a mathematics professor at Prince Sultan University. He has co- authored over 600 journal articles in pure and applied mathematics, including nonlinear analysis, differential equations, fractional calculus, modeling, and fixed point theory. He was selected as one the top 1% scientists by Clarivate World’s Influential Researchers in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. He is considered as one the top contributors in the field of fractional calculus and its discrete counterpart.

Dr. Sundarapandian Vaidyanathan

Dr. Sundarapandian Vaidyanathan is a Senior Professor at the Research and Development Centre at Vel Tech University, Avadi, Chennai, India. He is also a Visiting Faculty at the School of Ecology and Environment Studies at Nalanda International University, Bihar, India.

He earned his D.Sc. degree in Electrical and Systems Engineering from Washington University, Saint Louis, Missouri, USA in May 1996. His main research areas of interest are Control Systems, Chaos Theory, Scientific Computing, Scientific Modelling, Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing.

He has published over 620 Scopus-indexed research papers and 300 Web of Science indexed research papers in reputed journals, three text-books on Science and Engineering (PHI Learning-India and McGraw Hill-India) and 12 research monographs published by Springer, Elsevier and IGI-Global (USA).

He received the National Award on Best Research Faculty in Computer Science consecutively on 2018 and 2023 awarded in five-year periods by Careers-360, India. In the Top 2% Scientists Research Study by Stanford University (USA) in Oct. 2020, he has secured World #10 Rank (All-Time Global Rank) in the field “Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing” and this News was reported by national dailies like The Hindu & The Times of India.

He has delivered several Keynote addresses on Nonlinear Control Systems, Chaos Theory, and Scientific Computing in IEEE and ACM International Conferences. He has also conducted several workshops on Control Systems, Data Science and Scientific Computing using MATLAB and SCILAB. He is pursuing active research collaboration with scientists from India and foreign countries.

Dr. Tomás Caraballo

Dr. Tomás Caraballo is Professor at the Departamento de Ecuaciones Diferenciales y Análisis Numérico of the University of Sevilla, Spain.

Professor Caraballo received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Sevilla in November 1998.

His research interests include deterministic and stochastic dynamical systems and applications from the applied sciences. More specifically, he was worked on stochastic partial differential equations, models with delay and memory, impulsive systems, non-autonomous and random dynamical systems, nonlocal differential equations including those of fractional time, models from biology, epidemiology, physics, population dynamics, etc

He has published more than 350 papers so far, which can be seen in the web


Dr. Fahd Jarad

Dr. Fahd Jarad is currently a professor at the department of Mathematics and the Dean of the Faculty of  Arts and Sciences of Çankaya University, Ankara, Turkey. He has more than 24 years of teaching experience in various topics ranging from Calculus to Differential Geometry He has published more than 350 SCI papers in well renowned journals across the world. In addition, he has given various seminars, lecture series and invited talksHe was selected as a Highly Cited Researcher in  2021 by Clarivate Analytics and listed in the top %2 scientists by Elsevier in the last four years.

Dr. Viet-Thanh Pham

Viet-Thanh Pham graduated in electronics and telecommunications from the Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2005. He received the Ph.D. degree in electronics, automation and control of complex systems engineering from the University of Catania, Italy, in 2013. He was the Director of Research with the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Phenikaa Institute for Advanced Study (PIAS), Phenikaa University. His scientific research interests include chaos, nonlinear control, fractional-order systems, applications of nonlinear systems, analysis and design of analog circuits, and FPGA-based digital circuits.

Dr. Nadjib Boussetila

Boussetila Nadjib obtained PhD degree in Mathematics (2006)  from Annaba University (Algeria). He has twenty-six years (26) of experience in mathematical research and teaching at the university of Guelma (Algeria). His research interests include Inverse Problems in PDEs and Numerical Analysis. Currently, he is interested in the application of fractional PDEs as regularization procedures for certain ill-posed parabolic and elliptic problems.

Zakia Hammouch

Z. Hammouch received her Master’s in Applied Mathematics and her PhD in Numerical Analysis and Fluid Mechanics from the University of Picardie Jules Verne Amiens France.

She defended her university habilitation at the University Moulay Ismail, Morocco in 2015. She is currently full Professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of the University Moulay Ismail Meknès, Researcher at the Division of Applied Mathematics of Thu Dau Mot University Binh Duong in Vietnam and Consultant at the Department of Medical Research, China Medical University Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan and Kyung Hee University of South Korea.

She is a Member of the European Women in Mathematics (EWM) Association, a Member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and The CRIMS of African Union of Mathematics.

She has published more than 100 articles and chapters in indexed journals and reputable books (Springer, Elsevier,…). She is a member of editorial boards of several international indexed journals (Scopus, WOS,…). Her research interests include: Numerical analysis, Biomathematics, Population dynamics, Fractional calculus and Fluid mechanics.



AKBAR ZADA received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences (ASSMS), GC University, Lahore, Pakistan. He is currently working as an associate professor in the department of mathematics, University of Peshawar, KP, Pakistan. He has supervised more than 10 PhD and more than 35 MS/MPhil research students. Also, he has published many research articles in reputed international journals of mathematics. His research interests include qualitative properties of classical and fractional boundary value problems, qualitative properties of autonomous and non-autonomous evolution equations i.e. the existence theory, asymptotic theory, exponential stability, exponential dichotomy and Hyers Ulam stability etc.

Prof. Dumitru Baleanu

Dumitru Baleanu, Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon,

Dumitru Baleanu is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon. Dumitru Baleanu got his  PhD from the Institute of Atomic Physics in 1996. His fields of interest include the  fractional dynamics and its applications, fractional differential equations and their applications, discrete mathematics, image processing, bio-informatics, mathematical biology,  mathematical physics, soliton theory, Lie symmetry, dynamic systems on time scales, computational complexity, the wavelet method and its applications, quantization of systems with constraints, the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism, geometries admitting generic and non-generic symmetries. Dumitru  is a pioneer of the fractional variational principles and their applications in control theory. He is one of the co-authors of the seminal paper entitled “Anomalous diffusion expressed through fractional order differential operators in the Bloch-Torrey equation”, published in Journal of  Magnetic Resonance  (2008),which  plays now a fundamental role within diffusion weighted MRI. Dumitru  had an important role in developing the non-singular  operators with Mittag-Leffler kernels and their applications in real world phenomena.

Dumitru Baleanu is co-author of more than 20 books published by Springer, Elsevier and World Scientific. His H index is 100. Dumitru Baleanu won the following prestigious awards:

–             2023- Award Grigore Moisil given by the Romanian Academy

–          2020-Best Research Award, given by the ITSR Foundation Award 2020  (organized by Institute of Technical and Scientific Research, India) and presented online on  September 13th, 2020.

–          2020- Distinguished Researcher Award, Given by the Jaipur Mathematical Society and presented during  the 3rd International Conference on Mathematical Modelling, Applied Analysis and Computation (ICMMAAC-20),7-9 August 2020 at JECRC University,Jaipur, India

–          2019-Award for 20 years of successful scientific activity in the field of fractional calculus and its applications by Istanbul Gelisim University, Turkey

–          2019- Obada Prize. The Obada-Prize recognizes and encourages innovative and interdisciplinary research that cuts across traditional boundaries and paradigms. It aims to foster universal values of excellence, creativity, justice, democracy, and progress and to promote the scientific, technological and humanistic achievements that advance and improve our world.

  • 2018-ICFDA2018 Award:Innovation in Fractional Calculus. This award is granted to inventors of new patents which address major problems and have a great perspective by use of fractional calculus in real World appplications

Dumitru is the Editor in Chief of Progress in Fractional Differentiation and Applications and he is a Co-editor in Chief of  Discontinuity, Nonlinearity and Complexity. Dumitru Baleanu is member of several editorial boards of journals inxed in SCI.
